We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative individual to join our Global Strategic Sourcing and Procurement (GSSP) team as a Senior Manager supporting the Information Technology (IT) organization.Â

The Senior Manager will support sourcing of goods and services in the Global IT Categories including hardware, software/SaaS and services. The information technologies sourced will be for a variety of functions within Kite such as R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Commercial (Marketing/Sales), providing an opportunity for the successful candidate to work closely with leaders across the business to understand Kite requirements. Requiring close collaboration with suppliers to understand their technology, products, and services as well as negotiation levers and constraints, this position allows for significant opportunity to interface with Sourcing leaders in the development of your negotiation strategies; in the creation of category plans; and in your contributions to advance our organization - new concepts, techniques and standards. Internally known as a Senior Manager of Supply Chain, the Senior Sourcing Manager ensures an effective Source to Settle process including selection of suppliers via competitive bids; negotiating business terms and conditions; and ensuring proper onboarding of new suppliers, including vendor set up via Financial Shared Services. The successful candidate will follow through on their initiatives, with accountability for a successful procurement implementation process and for leading supplier management, including regular review processes that drive collaborative innovation as well as enforce performance.

Responsibilities of the Senior Manager of Global Strategic Sourcing includes:
Works proactively, developing solutions to complex problems and exercising some latitude in determining objectives and approaches to responsibilities.
Leads competitive bids, contract negotiations, onboarding of suppliers and collaboration with IT stakeholders, Finance, and Legal
Collaborates with the IT Sourcing/Category Lead to develop, document, and execute category and procurement strategies
Delivers cost reduction and cost avoidance results
Works closely with Sourcing, IT and Supplier to assure reliability, quality, and continuity of supply or service
Collaborates with the appropriate Kite functional teams to assist in the resolution of Source to Settle issues such as: work order or contract expiration, purchasing agreements, requisitions, invoice holds, open POs, losses, returns, cancellations, and discontinuations
Tracks, reports, and escalates supplier issues, coordinating resolution between internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Proposes and supports system and process improvements
Implements change management activities associated with purchasing process and systems
Acts as the point of contact for internal business partners’ day-to-day interactions related to suppliers, purchasing and payments
Ensures suppliers’ service level agreements will meet our business’ quality and service standards
Ensures compliance to Purchasing, Legal, and Financial procedures and policies
Earns recognition as an expert within your area of responsibility

Basic Qualifications:
Â
PhD
OR
MA / MS with 6+ years of Supply Chain and/or Buying and/or Purchasing and/or Information Technology experience
OR
BA / BS Degree with 8+ years of Supply Chain and/or Buying and/or Purchasing and/or Information Technology experience
OR
High School Degree and 12+ years of Supply Chain and/or Buying and/or Purchasing and/or Information Technology experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, expanding company environment, able to flexibly adjust based upon evolving priorities
5+ years of experience sourcing and/or procuring IT hardware, software/SaaS and servicesÂ
Broad knowledge of IT technologies and services, IT supply base and common negotiating levers
Experience working in systems essential to supporting the Sourcing function including ERPs (Oracle EBS, SAP or similar) and Contract Lifecycle Management systems
Experience running competitive bids using Sourcing Tools (SCOUT, ARIBA, etc.) as well as negotiating work orders or statement of work relating to IT
Strong skills using Microsoft products (Word, Power Point, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, etc.) to analyze data and communicate to stakeholders
Knowledge of Source to Settle processes
Ability to adapt, adjusting workload based upon changing priorities and managing ambiguity
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Collaborates well in cross-functional matrix environment, able to communicate and work independently with colleagues in a variety of disciplines including scientific/technical, Finance, Legal, Supply Chain, etc.
Demonstrates respect, focuses on delivering value, and embraces learning and continual improvement
Strong team player with excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Strong presentation and influence skills with a focus on collaboration
Global experience and an understanding of the nuances and differences among business cultures is a plus; able and willing to travel approximately 15-20% globally, as well as domestically
