This position will be filled at either the Software Developer 2 /3 level, depending on the skills of the selected candidate. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if the candidate is hired at the higher level.

We are seeking an individual to help manage our Operational Data Store / Data Warehouse, which we call ODS. The person must have good analytical skills to diagnose and resolve data related database issues. We also work with internal customers to help resolve their issues with the data we provide. An ideal candidate will have data warehouse management experience, good SQL skills, good detective skills to resolve issues, and can work independently.

On any given day, key responsibilities will include:

• Creating views, tables, and other database objects
• Scheduling with the Control-M job automation tool
• Monitoring jobs and fixing issues
• Maintaining existing database objects
• Resolving customer requests
• 24/7 on-call on a weekly rotating schedule (with extra stipend)

Software Developer 2 ($79,200 - $129,000)

The Software Developer 2 is a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of a specialized information technology (IT) field plus working knowledge of other related IT fields.

Software Developer 3 ($96,100 - $159,000)

In addition to the lower level, the Software Developer 3 has wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.

What You Need

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Experience with SQL type databases
  
  • designing, managing, or configuring a database
  • understanding of SQL database tables and views.
  • writing SQL queries.
• Experience designing, developing, modifying, testing, debugging and evaluating software to meet user requirements.
• Experience gathering and documenting user requirements, including working with cross functional stakeholders, and assisting them with data-related/data-quality technical issues.

Additional Job Requirements for Software Developer 3:

In addition to the requirements outlined above, qualification at the higher level requires:

• Experience with Oracle databases
  
  • designing, managing, or configuring an Oracle database
  • writing Oracle PL/SQL for ETL.
  • extensive experience writing SQL queries in the Oracle environment.
  • performance tuning of SQL and PL/SQL
• Experience assessing business rules; design, review, implement, and optimize ETL processes.
• Experience with Data Warehousing, ETL, data/dimensional modeling, and data marts
• Ability to multi-task various projects and tasks with tight deliverables

Education/Experience at lower level: Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and 5 years related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.

Education/Experience at higher level: Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and 8 years related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. At this level, post graduate course work may be desirable.

Desired Qualifications:

• Functional / technical knowledge of Oracle ERP / Oracle Applications / Oracle EBS.
• Experience with advanced Oracle capabilities such as partitions and partition exchange.
• Experience with Control-M or other enterprise level job scheduling application.
• Experience with Agile concepts such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience with Jira, Remedy, ServiceNow, or other work tracking system.
• Experience with DevSecOps automation (CI/CD)
• Familiarity with Confluence or other wiki tool.
• Experience with Denodo or other data virtualization product

Work Schedule:

• Occasional after hours work required. Position will share 24 hour "on-call" support duties with other team members.
