The Ethics and Audit Division is seeking an experienced auditor to join our Internal Audit team.
Auditor 2 ($72,800 - $115,500)
The selected candidate will perform the following job duties:

Minimum Job Requirements:
IPPF
For this role you will need an understanding of The International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) promulgated by The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
Audit Experience
You will need to have demonstrated experience participating in the planning and performance of audits in accordance with The Institute of Internal Auditors Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.
Internal Control Design
To succeed in this role you must have experience as part of an audit team evaluating and testing internal controls design and operating effectiveness.
Documentation
You will need to have experience documenting the results of internal audit transaction and controls testing in the audit work papers.
Project Management
For this role you will need to have experience managing audit projects within budgeted hours and assigned due dates.
Education/Experience: This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Auditing, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or other related field and 5 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation.

In addition to the requirements outlined above, qualification at the higher level requires:

Additionally, you should have the proven ability to accomplish work independently, efficiently and effectively without considerable direction.
Internal Control Design
To succeed in this role you need to have significant experience evaluating internal controls and testing internal controls design and operating effectiveness.
Project Management
You will need to have demonstrated experience managing audit projects as the in-charge auditor within budgeted hours, assigned due dates, and allocated staff resources.
Audit Communications
To be successful in this role, you should have demonstrated effective listening and interviewing skills, as well as excellent communication skills regarding audit results to ensure client agreement with conclusions and recommendations.
Mentoring
You should have experience successfully mentoring and providing constructive feedback to audit staff, demonstrating an enthusiasm to share skills and knowledge and invest in the professional development of others.
Education/Experience: This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Auditing, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or other related field and 8 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. Relevant graduate degree, such as MBA or Masters of Accounting, is preferred.
Certifications
A minimum of one relevant current professional certification is desired for an Auditor 2, but is required for an Auditor 3 such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
Desired Qualifications:
Government Experience
It would be nice if you had experience performing internal audits in a government or government contractor setting.
Correction Action
It would be a plus if you had experience working with audit clients on proposed corrective actions and follow up with clients on completed actions.
Problem Solving
It would be nice if you had experience evaluating a wide-ranging issues and select appropriate methods and techniques for obtaining plausible solutions.
Software
It would be a plus if you had experience utilizing internal audit software tools as well as automated and manual accounting systems, and experience implementing data mining, data analytics, or continuous monitoring using automated tools in the audit process.

Additional Details
Directive 206.2 - Employment with Triad requires a favorable decision by NNSA indicating employee is suitable under NNSA Supplemental Directive 206.2. Clearance: Q (Position will be cleared to this level). Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements* for access to classified matter. This position requires a Q clearance which requires US Citizenship except in extremely rare circumstances. Dependent upon position, additional authorization to access nuclear weapons information may be required that may or may not be available to dual citizens depending upon the circumstances.
*Eligibility requirements: To obtain a clearance, an individual must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in very limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.
New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
