Position Summary

Echosec is seeking an entrepreneurial sales leader to build Echosec’s sales team and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate has built and led sales teams in the public sector. You will have a strong track record of closing revenue individually as well as supporting/mentoring direct reports that make up their sales team. You possess the leadership skills to hire and train a team of high-performing account executives and work closely with them to generate qualified leads and develop processes to drive sales. You are an expert at positioning business value, selling software solutions, managing complex sales cycles, and building relationships with key stakeholders in large organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the CEO as well as marketing and product teams to build a comprehensive go-to-market plan and position our strengths with the market to drive revenue growth
  • Build a high-performing cross-departmental culture of collaboration focused on the Go To Market Strategy where sales teams consistently achieve their sales goals 
  • Hire, retain train and mentor A players on methodologies appropriate for public sector software sales while coaching in (or out) under-performing Account Executives
  • Ensure sales team follows sales processes and updates the CRM systems in a timely manner
  • Set and manage activity goals for the SDR and sales team in consultation with the CEO and head of marketing
  • Meet and exceed individual monthly and quarterly sales goals for new logos as well as upsells from existing clients
  • Develops and manages a high-quality pipeline that provides adequate coverage for the revenue goals
  • Lead and execute large deals ($100K+ ARR) when needed demonstrating a culture of "leading from the front," and being an excellent role model for the team to emulate
  • Strategize with marketing and SDR leader on campaigns to ensure smooth handoffs and high conversion rates from Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) to Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs)
  • Expand and optimizes prime contractor, Systems Integrator, and channel partnerships to augment pipeline
  • Perform win-loss analysis to provide insights to the management team for future go-to-market planning
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasting aligned with the annual revenue targets 
  • Communicate insights from their market analysis across the entire organization

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of public sector software sales experience, including some sales leadership experience 
  • Experience with SaaS software sales to large government and defense customers 
  • Experienced in using market leading CRM systems to manage sales teams
  • Consistent over-plan team quota achievement
  • Consistent career growth trajectory 
  • Understanding of SaaS business models 
  • Ability to develop executive level relationships & close complex sales within our ICP
  • Clear communication, verbal and written 
  • Proven ability to personally sell and close large enterprise deals
