Position Summary:

We are seeking a System Administrator (Level III) to provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems.  The System Administrator manages the IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.

Essential Job Functions:

·      Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems.

·      Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.

·      Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.

·      Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems.

·      Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.

·      Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.

·      Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.

·      Optimize system operations and resource utilization and perform system capacity analysis and planning.

·      Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.

·      Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems.

·      Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems and install/load operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity, and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

·      Provide detailed analysis and feedback to agency management and internal customers for escalated tickets.

·      Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware.

·      Direct and possess a working knowledge and understand of system administration inter-dependencies as part of the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).

·      Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications, and software integration.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

·      U.S. Citizenship is required.

·      Fifteen (15) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal Government is required.  Five (5) years of additional system administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

·      Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

·      Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI with CI Poly.

·      Strong customer service/client facing skills.

·      Demonstrate strong analytical skills.

·      Excellent oral and writing skills.

·      Local travel may be required.

Background Screening/Check/Investigation

Successful Completion of a background screening/check/investigation is required as a condition of hire.

Working Conditions: Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions.  Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, however, some extended or weekend hours may be required.  Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager.

Physical Requirements:  May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.
