Job Description
New hires in office-based roles in the U.S. & Puerto Rico will be required, subject to applicable law, to demonstrate that they have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or qualify for a medical or religious exemption to this vaccination requirement that can be accommodated without an undue burden to the operation. Clinical Trial Data Collection & Management is one of key activities performed during the lifecycle of a clinical trial, Clinical Research heavily relies on accurate data collected from patients who are part of Clinical Trials. In this area we are responsible for Trial Design, Connected Devices, Data Capture and Metadata Standards which are the mechanisms to collect the data captured from clinical trial participants, and prepare it for down stream analytics, submissions to Global Health Authorities and track the safety of our product.
As Our Research Division's IT embark into the transition from project / portfolio-based execution to the Product Model, it is important to have people experienced in this functional area and familiar with working in the Product Model.
We are looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in delivering complex technical implementations and large scale migrations within the Clinical Trials domain. The candidates will help us shape the vision and strategy of our software products in the Trial Data Collection & Management area.
Our IT team operates as a business partner proposing ideas and innovative solutions that enable new organizational capabilities. We partner internationally to deliver the services and solutions that help everyone to be more productive and enable innovation.
Primary Tasks:
As a Delivery Orchestrator you will coordinate activities across and within product lines to ensure overall delivery of value. The delivery orchestrator helps the teams to effectively make and meet commitments and execute in a tactical and coordinated way, by creating early visibility and management of risks, impediments, dependencies, and assumptions. The Delivery Orchestrator enables teams to increase predictability, manage expectations, and optimize capacity
You will lead the implementation and delivery of portfolio, program, and project office services. You will also manage resources to ensure delivery of effective services/resources in line with current and planned demand.
You will work side by side with other Delivery Orchestrators, Business Stakeholders, Product Users, Product Manager, Technical Leads, Product Designers, UX researchers and development team members and you will provide close support to ensure that the IT solutions are both valuable and viable.
We will also need you to use your knowledge and experiences to lead product line team members to grow in their career by increasing their technical and business domain expertise.
Additionally, you will
Enable visibility into the backlogs across Products and Product Lines
Plan and drive systems development projects which support the organization's objectives and plans.
Ensure stakeholders are aware of required resources and that they are made available.
Facilitate availability and optimum utilization of resources.
Ensures solution decisions are in alignment with the strategy and value team outcomes.
Provide escalation point for delivery issues or deconflicting dependencies that affect multiple teams across / within product lines
Capture, convey, and manage risks, impediments, assumptions, and dependencies for execution, and focus on reducing impact early and often.
Travel will be (~5 to 15%).
Education:
B.A./B.S. or M.A./M.S. with a preference for Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
Prerequisites:
Minimum 15 years of experience as a Project Manager or similar role
Strong management skills with ability to motivate and inspire the team
Working within a global Product Teams/Squads
Solid expertise with track record in the Clinical Trials domain from the data collection and management perspective
Experience driving delivery of large-scale data and system migration solutions
Experience orchestrating complex overlapping priorities and roadmaps
Strong communication skills with ability to align teams & stakeholders on complex roadmaps
Experience in different delivery methods (agile, traditional) in large organizations.
Able to adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs
Strong business acumen, and easy rapport with peers and executives
Adept at managing diverse relationships across expertise, geography, and culture, regardless of organizational hierarchy
Facilitating input from stakeholders, providing constructive challenge and enabling effective prioritization of requirements
Outstanding English (written and verbal) communication skills – able to effectively convey complex concepts in simple ways
Demonstrated ability in achieving shared objectives within a matrix organization in an extremely dynamic environment
Self-driven with the ability to work in a self-guided manner
Minimum 10 years of experience with GxP and System Development Life-cycles
