The role will lead development of the Assay Data Capture capability within RaDS IT and execute strategy for supporting the digital transformation of our scientific tools. The role offers the chance to work on a high-profile project with the ability to impact how lab-based research is conducted and accelerate innovative drugs to market. You will possess a blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision with the ability to dive into the weeds, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You will be able to comprehend scientific problems and translate those needs for the technical team while prioritizing tasks to ensure the introduction and ongoing enhancement of solutions. Success will be the acceptance and adoption of these new solutions by the scientists targeted for each release.
You will be able to identify with our scientists' needs and be a passionate advocate for their perspectives through all phases of product development.
The position will be based in North America, travel to other sites will be necessary at times potentially globally once able to do so safely (estimated no more than 15% of the time).
Managing the product life cycle for Assay Data Capture from strategic planning to tactical activities.
Appreciation of the problem space and specifying requirements for current and future products through close partnership with our R&D scientists and other stakeholders.
Aiding the adoption and change management planning.
Analyzing potential ISV partner relationships for the resultant solution(s).
B.A./B.S. or Advanced degree equivalent in a relevant technical or scientific discipline (such as life sciences, informatics, genomics, statistics/biostatistics). Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered.
Demonstrable experience in or around the pharmaceutical industry sufficient to grasp the underlying workflows and data management needs.
Has worked in a Product related role.
Worked in an Agile development team.

Demonstrable knowledge of problems facing scientists working a drug discovery lab.

Familiarity with user centered design and UX principles.
Pragmatic Institute Certification.
Familiarity with Cloud based software and terms.
Worked with ELNs or other lab data capture informatics software.
Comprehension of laboratory processes and methods.
Comprehension of the Product Life Cycle of software products.
