FRICK, the leader in industrial refrigeration, is the only manufacturer to offer a full line of equipment for food and beverage applications. We have compressor packages, complete packaged systems, pressure vessels, hygienic air units, evaporators, condensers, heat exchangers and controls.
What you will do:
Our Industrial Refrigeration Food & Beverage Team has an immediate opening for a full-time, direct hire, project-based design engineer. Working together we will work across department lines to identify areas of design improvement, support innovative ideas, and generate solutions based on cost, schedule, and technical merit.
How you will do it:
You will be working with suppliers, sales team, and customers to analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and drawings to resolve customer’s design intent. We use computer assisted design/drafting software, Inventor, to develop and document designs. After the design process, you will prepare engineering release of documents to the production control team including: 2D manufacturing drawings and bills of material
We use other software packages and in-house proprietary calculations to engineer and design our pressure vessels. This will require applying thermodynamics and a fundamental understanding of the refrigeration cycle. This role will maintain existing product lines and support new product development. We will provide support and training for you to be successful in this role.
During your introductory period, you will be paired with a suitable onboarding partner/mentor to help provide advice and guidance as you adjust to the workplace.
As a part of our team, we can offer a fantastic benefits package including a completive salary, health benefits (Medical, dental, vision), a 401(k) with company match, and competitive vacation /holiday time.
We understand the preference to have a more flexible working environment working either remote or on site. With this, we require our personnel to be local to our manufacturing facility and expect during the initial onboarding process (1-2 months) to work on-site. After the onboarding period, we permit our employees to embrace their preference to be on-site or remote, but they must be available for on-site visits as needed to support manufacturing.
