What you will do:

This role of Senior Project Manager in Stryker Mako Robotics will be responsible for leading both major transformational projects in the business, along with managing and maintaining the projects management office for the site. The person in this role will partner across multiple functions on the ideation and creation of project plans, ensuring project management tools and techniques are applied throughout the project lifespan. This highly visible leadership role in the organization will also partner without site project managers across the Stryker organization to ensure best practices are applied and to ensure high value projects are given the visibility and exposure to senior leaders in the organization. This role will report directly to the Director of Operations and will be a key stakeholder in the leadership of the business.

Job description:

• Responsibility for overall project and program delivery for the organization, ensuring all projects are captured through the single PMO management system that is in place today.
• The Senior Project Manager is responsible to the project stakeholders for delivering overall program objectives within scope, schedule, cost, and quality
• Mentors and coaches Engineers across multiple functions on project management execution, raising standards to a new level across the business.
• Utilizes weekly and monthly Project Management forums to effectively keep all stakeholders updated, while providing the opportunity of team members to get visibility of their project.
• Partner with all members of the operations leadership team to develop project ideas and take these from idea phase right through to implementation and delivery of results
• Responsible for identifying, monitoring, and appropriately managing project risk and liaise with broader teams outside of Operations to understand project status and support required
• Provide direction to team in complex or difficult situations, removing obstacles, assigning appropriate resources and interacting with other functions to assist with issue resolution and streamlining of work process.
• Establish priorities, imparting a sense of urgency and importance to the team while following best practice Project Management methodology in project execution

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering Preferred)
• 6 plus years of experience
• PMP Certification preferred

• Can understand and communicate how goals fit into broader organizational goals and prioritize tasks/schedule accordingly.

• Exercises good judgment and can weigh benefits and risks to make solid decisions despite ambiguity
• Growth mindset – ability to learn quickly and adapt to a changing environment.
