What you will do –

As the Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist you will plan, perform, and implement process improvement initiatives (such as Lean or Six Sigma) across multiple facilities in Arlington, TN by organizing, leading, and facilitating cross-functional project teams. You will evaluate existing processes and develop metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.

 

Additional responsibilities:

  • Engage and lead the business in end to end process review activities with emphasis on the customer journey
  • Collaboratively develop process and customer journey improvement roadmaps and transformation plans with the business partners
  • Facilitate problem solving sessions and deep dive analysis of identified process pain points using data gathered from various systems and teams
  • Lead subject matter experts through kaizen sessions to redesign the customer journey process steps
  • Develop tactical implementation plans to create improvements across the operation
  • Secure commitment, and accountability (i.e. being able to account for) from functional stakeholders on implementation of plans
  • Secure resources necessary to drive approved plans (own or within functional stakeholders)
  • Track and report status on implementation and key improvement project metrics
  • Develop communications for stakeholders on the improvements & conduct update or communication meetings
  • Lead teams in the use of lean tools during remote sessions (via MS Teams, etc.) to collect voice of the customer feedback, conduct business process mapping of the current and future state quote to cash processes, to develop and test potential solutions with remote team members, develop project plans, and conduct project reviews & governance activities

What you need –

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2+ years of work experience required
  • Process improvement experience required; preferred in a manufacturing production environment 
  • Experience leveraging data and technology to solve problems or improve processes required
  • Demonstrated ability of applying (as a doer / facilitator) lean and six sigma tools and process improvement techniques to improve a business process required
  • Strong use of Visio and skill in MS Office products – highly preferred
  • Experience conducting process mapping e.g. current and future state process mapping, and customer journey mapping – highly preferred
  • Experienced in project Management, preferably process design or improvement projects – highly preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification -highly preferred
  • Experience in change management skills with the ability to construct implementation plans from recommendations -preferred
