  COMPANY INFORMATION

Resume Access: Resumes will be available via electronically ONE WEEK prior to the job fair. A password and access instructions will be e-mailed to the individual who registered your company. A hard copy resume book will also be provided to each company as they check-in (in person) at the SACC.

Thursday is Company Check-In day. There is an on-site SACC office at the hotel where companies may pick up the resume books, conference materials, booth assignments and check on their shipments to the hotel. The SACC office will also serve as a refreshment area for recruiters during the SACC on Friday – bottled water, coffee and sodas will be available.

Friday is the job fair and runs from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Companies must man their booths until the end of the job fair. SACC provides a semi-private interview space. All interviews are scheduled directly between recruiters and candidates. Some companies use their hotel rooms/suites to interview candidates more privately.

Exhibit/Booth Set-Up: Companies are provided one six foot table and two chairs unless additional tables have been purchased. Tabletop exhibits should fit on top of the 6’ table and floor displays can not exceed 6’ of booth space. Companies are arranged by alphabetical order in the ballroom, unless they require an electrical outlet..

Exhibit/Booth Tear-Down: The hotel will ship all boxes the next business day. Please leave boxes at your booth - complete shipping labels with an account number to ensure proper delivery.

CANDIDATE INFORMATION

Thursday:

Please plan to attend the informative Interview Prep Seminar on Thursday evening – no registration is required, and the attire is casual. This is an interactive seminar between the candidates and a panel of company recruiters who will provide career advice, and answer questions from the audience. The panel discussion will include topics such as what companies look for in service academy alumni, what to expect in an interview, how to negotiate salary, resume writing tips, and so much more. A brief overview of the SACC career fair on Friday will also be presented.

Friday:

The job fair is all day Friday – please dress as you would for an interview. Each company has a table and you are free to visit with any or all of the companies. There are no pre-arranged interviews , however as you meet with recruiters at their tables, they are evaluating your skill sets and essentially interviewing you. If a company recruiter wishes to meet with you privately they will coordinate that with you directly upon meeting you at their booth. Some companies will interview at SACC and others do not.

Resumes:

Although the companies receive a resume book of all pre-registered SACC candidates, we recommend that you bring extra copies of your resume with you to the conference. The resume you bring may be a multiple page version if you prefer. As you meet and speak with the many recruiters, you may find it helpful to provide them with a resume to view immediately.

Interest Slips:

If you receive an “Interest Slip” behind your name badge at registration on Friday, that simply means that a company read your resume and would like you to stop by their table – it is not an interview. Companies will continue to post Interest Slips throughout the day, so please check the SACC message board before leaving. The SACC concludes Friday at 5:00 p.m.

Follow-Up:

Your success is very important to us! Please contact the SACC office, as well as your own Association when you receive employment offers. We are anticipating an exciting career conference. The Alumni Associations and Associations of Graduates are pleased to provide this opportunity for you, and stand ready and willing to assist.
